Dear Clubs, as announced during the past week, we are pleased to share with you the detailed information on UEFA Club Competitions’ payments to Clubs during the past 5 seasons (from 2016/17 season to 2020/21 season). Please note the payments regarding the past 2021/22 UCC season should be made available by UEFA in Autumn 2022.
The document is available for both in PDF and in Excel format. The document is available for download at the bottom of this article but also in the “Documents” session of the CAP APP.
Guidelines to review the document:
We have provided below some guidance to better understand the level and extent of information on a ‘tab-by-tab’ basis:
Tab 1 (Excel Sheet) / Table 1 (pages 2 – 4):
This sheet provides aggregated payments on a country and club levels. Payments are displayed from the highest earning country to the lowest. This includes payments from Group Stages onwards (including playoffs and excluding UEFA Super Cup & ECA Payments).
Tab 2 (Excel Sheet) / Table 2 (pages 5 – 7):
This ranking provides the list of clubs that received aggregated UCC revenues over 5 seasons, from top earner to lowest. This includes payments from Group Stages onwards (including playoffs and excluding UEFA Super Cup & ECA Payments).
Tab 3 (Excel Sheet) / Table 3 (pages 8 – 10):
On this sheet, the payments are displayed on a competition-by-competition basis, including Non-Participating clubs' solidarity amounts (NPC), sorted by the highest earning national association (i.e. country) to the lowest (includes all payments except for UEFA Super Cup).
Tab 4 (Excel Sheet) / Table 4 (page 11):
Finally, on this sheet, we have provided you with the aggregated UCC payments over a 5-season horizon, on country-by-country basis. (Includes All Payments except UEFA Super Cup).
Additional Notes:
The payments are broken down on a competition basis, UEFA Champions League (UCL) and UEFA Europa League (UEL) , including payments made to Non-participating Clubs
(NP Solidarity).
On a more granular level, the payments have been further broken down into ‘Group Stages Onwards’, ‘Playoff’s, ‘Qualification Rounds’ & ‘Payments made to ECA’.
This document consolidates UCC Club payments on a 5-year horizon, while covering two different UEFA cycles.
All figures shown in this document are presented in millions of Euros (EUR) and are sourced directly from UEFA publications: UCC payments to clubs and UEFA Annual Financial Reports.
UEFA has released Qualification Rounds Payments to clubs in the Previous cycle (i.e. 2015/16 – 2018/19 and hence related data can be found in seasons 2016/17 and 2017/18, whereas from 2018/19 onwards, the information has not been officially released by UEFA).
(Note: This does not include UEFA Super Cup Payments)

This money should go to solidarity and the elite voting right ECA clubs should finance the ECA themselves just as leagues finance their organisation, the European Leagues.
Wow😱 The annual operational budget for the ECA is more than some countries have received in UEFA payments since 1991 !!!
