Dear Club Representatives,
Please find here another much interesting article - published this week by The Sunday Telegraph – which reflects on the upcoming discussion and negotiation on UEFA’s Revenue Distribution model to Clubs for the upcoming 2024-27 UCC Cycle.
The article warns clubs about the distorting effect caused by UCC income distribution on European domestic competitions.
The author identifies solidarity payments as the focal point of the upcoming negotiation on this matter among the football stakeholders while “calling” on UEFA on the implementation of a serious solidarity programme for non-participating clubs which would have the clear objective to protect competitive balance in domestic league competitions, for the benefit of all clubs in Europe and not solely for those few clubs who participate regularly to UCC.
