UEFA Announces New Revenue Distribution Model for European Club Competitions - Media Coverage

Earlier this week, UEFA announced the new revenue distribution model for European club competitions for the upcoming 2024-27 UCC cycle. Among the main changes, UEFA stated that the share reserved for clubs not participating in the league phase of UEFA competitions in the new cycle will increase to 7% (up from the current 4%) of the projected annual €4.4 billion of UCC global income. As a result, €308 million will be distributed to non-participating clubs (up from the current €175 million) starting from the 2024-25 season.

Through the years and lately on occasion of the General Assembly in Prague (22 April), the European Leagues were "urging UEFA to increase competition payments for non-participating teams", and therefore welcome the new revenue distribution model announced by the European governing body.
