Solidarity Payments related to 2022-23 UCC season

Dear Club Representatives,

We are pleased to announce that UEFA has issued yesterday the much anticipated figures for solidarity payments to non-participating clubs related to the 2022/23 UEFA club competitions season.

These payments will be made to UEFA member associations throughout the 2023/24 season. National Associations are then responsible for distributing them to clubs in accordance with their own criteria, which should nevertheless be consistent with the guidelines set out by UEFA.

As a reminder, the funds allocated for this solidarity program represent 4% of the overall gross revenue from the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League (UCL), UEFA Europa League (UEL), and UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL). UEFA has previously disclosed that the amount available for clubs that did not participate in the 2022/23 UEFA club competitions season is €134.5 million, based on the estimated total revenue of €3.5 billion. Additionally, as per the UEFA Executive Committee's decision for the 2021-24 cycle, 30% of the net surplus available in any season of the 2021/24 cycle is allocated to solidarity for non-participating clubs, with a maximum limit of €35 million.
